How To Book Your Private NLP/Hypnosis Sessions
Email received on 3/12/13 from client:
How Often Should You Schedule Your Sessions?
Generally once a week works although this is flexible depending on the times that are available for the coach and client. My schedule is filling up fast so please book all your sessions.
You can book your sessions with Devin by clicking here but first read the below (N.B. - If you think you are sick, it is respectfully requested that you change your appointment. I have two young boys (4 and 6 1/2) and I don't want them getting this killer bug. And, of course, I'd like to be able to keep working.
First, if you have already made payment arrangements, ignore the stated single session price that you will see on the booking page.
Second, please print and bring your discount voucher (not the appointment voucher). You do NOT need to input a code when booking your session.
Third, also bring in your signed Client Bill of Rights. (Information just below.)
Fourth, if you click on a day and no times appear, that day is booked. The online appointment website is most likely working, it's just that my schedule is very full. Thank you for your patience. At this point (March, 2013) I am booking appointments about 5 weeks out.
Before coming in for your first session, please click and open the following Word document: Mental Health Client Bill of Rights
Read the above document. Then, print the last page that starts with "Acknowledgement By Client". Sign it and bring it in.
All you are agreeing to with your signature is that you have received and read the The Minnesota Complementary and Alternative Health Care Client Bill of Rights.
General Information About The Hypnosis Sessions
& Frequently Asked Questions
Often when I have taught around the country and overseas, I am asked if I still do private session work. Absolutely yes. For me (DH), working one-on-one with somebody is an incredible honor.
Together we deal with issues that seem insurmountable but, when we work together, they can finally be resolved and put to rest so that growth and happiness is beginning to truly happen.
Hypnosis and NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) are tools used to help a person discover within themselves the resources necessary to accomplish their goals.
Also, these tools are used to help a client to overcome limiting beliefs and create helpful beliefs in relation to their stated objective(s).
In many cases, just overcoming a negative belief can greatly facilitate a client’s desired change.
The above mentioned coaching methodologies can help a person to powerfully and influentially communicate with themselves in an empowering manner producing results that create a better life.
Please note that hypnosis alone can have a significant, positive impact on a person and their behavior if they desire to change and agree to engage in the change process.
What Is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is your ability to convince yourself, at a deep level, of literally anything good or bad. And convincing ourselves of ideas that are false/harmful is the basis for a large number of challenges.
Hypnosis is also your ability to UNconvince yourself of anything. And this is a large part of the hypnosis coaching experience - helping you unconvince yourself of ideas/beliefs/inner rules that are false/harmful.
In short, all hypnosis is self-hypnosis and a hypnotist is a coach with very specialized training and skills.
Is Hypnosis Clinically Documented To Work?
Absolutely yes. I discuss an amazing amount of excellent documentation in one of my books. To learn more about this book, click here.
Keep in mind that hypnosis never has and never will be able to make a person do what they don't want to do.
By the way, hypnosis is very, very helpful with Self-Sabotage. (See further down for a link taking you to an article on how to eliminate self-sabotage.)
What is NLP?
NLP is an acronym for Neuro-Linguistic Programming. What is that? Well, there are many, many definitions of NLP but I like things simple so following is a definition I've come up with after years of using/studying NLP:
Neuro-linguistic programming is the study of how we persuasively communicate with ourselves to achieve whatever results (good or bad) that we achieve.
NLP is about recipe. What mental/emotional ingredients are involved with our successes and challenges? And in what order are they mixed to consistently get the same results we get?
NLP helps you change your internal recipe so you get better results.

What Happens During Session?
After 27+ years of working in this field it would take a very long time to answer this question because I pour all of my experience and skills into each session.
In other words I have so many different tools/methods and skills to use that every client and each of their "growth opportunities" (vs. problems) receives a comprehensive and uniquely customized approach.
With the above in mind there are a few items that are shared with every client so that they are more able to truly participate in the change process.
- 4 Laws of The Mind: What they are, how they work in your life and how to hypnotically use them to your advantage.
- How The Mind Works: The surprising truth.
- Client Success Percentages a.k.a., how likely are you to change? You'll be pleasantly surprised.
- A Powerful NLP Technique: This method has been praised by my clients around the country and those that have flown in from other countries.
